TANDAYAPA CLOUD FOREST 1 DAY BIKE TOUR

Calacali - Tandayapa
Approx 5 hrs biking

Leaving Quito, early after breakfast we will follow the road Northwest from Quito, taking us past the Mitad del Mundo and on to the starting point of this subtropical adventure. We start in Calacali at around 3000m, and pushing on, we soon leave behind the arid mountain scenery, and drop down into greener, more humid surroundings.









Keep your eyes open, as from the dirt road many birds and exotic plants can be seen. We will stop for a box lunch, and have time to regain our breath and enjoy the surroundings, before we take off again, passing numerous waterfalls that gush from the forested ravines, heading down to our final destination in Tandayapa at 1600m. From the highlands to the cloud forest in one easy ride!
